Local angler gets a haircut on the causeway to Güvercin Ada (Dove or Pigeon Island).
The Genoese fortress on Güvercin Ada is currently closed for renovation.
See Museum Boom part 1 at The Cheshire Cat Blog.
You can still walk along the causeway and around the foot of the fortress.
That's the life! Having your hair cut while you wait for your dinner to bite. In Turkey and Greece it used to be quite usual to have your locks trimmed outdoors. While sitting on a beach you would be approached by a local or a tourist trying to earn a little money by offering haircuts to holiday-makers. Some freelancers would even come to your hotel or apartment to attend to your coiffure. I don't know if this is still so common here, as it has been a while since I have been offered this service.
